Renfroe Middle School recently performed their own rendition of “Fiddler On The Roof (Jr.)”. My family and I attended the premier and loved it! Emma, our daughter, was in the play and we enjoyed seeing the fruit of her hard work, as were all the other excited family and friends in the building. The next morning, I saw an email that it was not filmed and that they needed a videographer for the show in the afternoon. I immediately responded and prepped as much as I could considering the notice 😉 It was filmed with a Panasonic GH4 in 4K through an Olympus M.Zuiko Pro 12-44MM lens. The sound was recorded using a Rode shotgun mic. After some discussion on distribution methods, Dhwani and I came up with the idea to make it available for download, asking only for a donation in return. The proceeds will be split, with half going to Renfroe Middle School programs and the other half going towards our “Build a Studio For Kids” campaign for the Houston House. I had a discussion recently with CoD School Board Member Lewis Jones and we agreed it would be awesome to utilize kids from the academy to film future productions within the city. Great idea!

The “for lease” sign is down at the Houston House! Our “heart-choice” for the mother-home of this endeavor has been entrusted to us to lease, beautify and build this dream within its walls. We are so grateful! Updates to come and we are soooo happy to make this announcement!
We met with the last few city officials this past week. Great news abounded, the house did well on the construction walk-through, and we are on to next phase of leasing the ideal space to be the mother home for the academy, The Houston House in downtown Decatur. This idea began as a twinkle in my eye in late October of last year, and here we are making great progress. Our 60 day crowd funding campaign begins in the middle of this week and I look forward to all our goals being met.
More updates coming soon!

Thank you all, this is a dream coming true.
We are in the process of launching a little after school program. We have prepared a Facebook and an Instagram page, as we go out into the world and watch this beautiful little school take shape. We are currently ironing out the details of our planned location. We are thankful that we’ve been given the clearance to lease the space by the owners, as that many have tried and failed. Currently, we are within the guidance of some beautiful souls within the City of Decatur government, and they are helping us through the process, with spirits in harmony with our own. This is going to be a great place for the City of Decatur, it’s residents, and the children we will serve. We hope to be announcing a groundbreaking soon.
