The Märchen Sagen Academy, Inc.

Founded in 2016, The Märchen Sagen Academy (MSA) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to youth development and the cultivation of creativity. We believe in empowering children to express themselves innovatively and create content that inspires peers worldwide.

Who We Are

At MSA, we offer a safe and nurturing environment for students ages 5 to 12 to explore their creative potential through a variety of engaging activities. These include:

  • Video-Making: Teaching the basics of video production, storytelling, and editing.
  • Podcasting: Guiding kids in producing their own podcasts, from concept to final recording.
  • Music Production: Allowing children to create and record their own music, fostering musical talents.
  • Crafting: Encouraging hands-on creativity through various art and craft projects.

Our programs are designed to foster a love of learning and creativity, helping children embark on unique journeys of self-expression. We aim to instill confidence and skills that will benefit them throughout their lives.

Our Unique Name

The name "Märchen Sagen" is derived from two old Germanic words believed to be the roots of all oral storytelling.

  • Märchen translates loosely to "fairy-tale," signifying stories not meant to be taken as literal truth but rich in imagination and creativity.
  • Sagen translates to "legend," referring to tales rooted in actual events, often embellished with fantastical elements.

Together, these words encapsulate our belief in the power of storytelling, whether it’s through fantastical fiction or inspiring true stories.
